FAQ

Who is this retreat for?

Pivot in Paris is designed specifically for midlife American women navigating significant life transitions. If you’re feeling disconnected from your inner self, seeking clarity about your purpose, or wanting to reclaim your joy and authenticity after years of fulfilling societal or family roles, this retreat will provide the tools and experiences to help you reconnect with yourself and your inner power.

I’m not sure if I’m in the right phase of life for this. How do I know this is for me?

If you’re feeling like you’re at a crossroads in life, experiencing shifts in identity, purpose, or your roles in relationships or work, you’re in the right place. Midlife is often a period of reflection, and many women experience a desire to pivot towards a more authentic version of themselves. This retreat is for anyone who wants to step into the next chapter of life with renewed confidence and clarity.

I’ve never been to Paris. Will this be like a regular sightseeing tour?

Not at all. While Paris is the beautiful backdrop for our retreat, we use the city as a metaphor for personal growth. Each experience—whether climbing the Eiffel Tower, reflecting at Monet’s Water Lilies, or meditating in Sainte-Chapelle—is designed to help you explore your inner world and reconnect with your authentic self. The focus is on inner transformation, not just seeing the sights.

What if I’ve already visited Paris once or several times? Will I still get something out of this?

Absolutely. Even if you’ve visited Paris before, Pivot in Paris offers a completely new way of experiencing the city. Our focus isn’t on typical tourism but on immersive personal transformation. We use the city’s art, history, and iconic landmarks as tools for self-discovery and inner growth. You’ll experience Paris in a deeper, more reflective way, connecting its beauty and symbolism to your own journey of renewal and empowerment.

I’m not a very reflective person. Will I still benefit from this retreat?

Absolutely! You don’t need to be experienced in self-reflection to benefit from Pivot in Paris. The retreat offers a gentle introduction to introspection, using Paris’s beauty and history to guide you. Each experience will naturally prompt reflection, and you’ll be supported through discussions and coaching. You’ll find that by the end, you’ll have connected with your inner thoughts in a way that feels natural and rewarding.

What kind of results can I expect from this retreat?

The goal of Pivot in Paris is to help you:

  • Reconnect with your inner power and gain clarity on what drives you.

  • Identify what brings you joy and align your actions with your true desires.

  • Shift from external validation to inner strength, so you can live more authentically.

  • Embrace personal growth through reflection, self-awareness, and embracing discomfort as part of the process.

The results will depend on your personal journey, but many women leave feeling empowered, clear-headed, and connected to their true selves.

I’m not very fit. Will I be able to participate in the physical activities?

You don’t need to be in peak physical condition to participate in the retreat. While some experiences, like walking up the Eiffel Tower, involve physical effort, these activities are designed to be symbolic of personal growth—they are not extreme physical challenges. We will take things at a pace that’s comfortable for you, with moments to pause and reflect throughout.

What if I’m not very familiar with art or philosophy?

You don’t need any prior knowledge of art or philosophy to benefit from this retreat. Each artistic and cultural experience is explained in a way that ties directly into your personal growth journey. We use art, literature, and historical references as tools for introspection and reflection, but the focus is always on how it relates to you and your own transformation, not on technical details.

How do I know I’ll see lasting change after the retreat?

The retreat is designed to provide both in-the-moment experiences and practical tools that you can take with you. Through coaching, guided reflections, and experiential activities, you’ll learn how to reconnect with your inner self and integrate these practices into your daily life. Post-retreat support is also available to help you stay on track with the insights and changes you’ve gained during your time in Paris.
